The first meeting and official launch of the GPFI Subgroup on Financial Consumer Protection and Financial Literacy took place on June 15, 2013, in Moscow, Russia.
The World Bank, IFC, and the Russia's G20 Presidency (Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation) co-hosted a Women and Finance event during the 2013 IMF - World Bank Spring Meetings, to advance financial inclusion for women. The Women in Finance event was preceded by a brief high level panel discussion on reaching the shared goal of Financial Access for All and the launch of the Financial Inclusion Support Framework. It was followed by the launch of the G20 Basic Set of Financial Indicators by the GPFI. The agenda for the Financial Inclusion Events is available here.
Hosted by the Financial Stability Institute of the Bank for International Settlements, the GPFI Technical Meeting on Standard-Setting Bodies (SSBs) and Financial Inclusion discussed technical aspects and practical dimensions of promoting financial inclusion through proportionate SSB standards and guidance.
Hosted by the Financial Stability Institute of the Bank for International Settlements, the first annual GPFI Conference on Standard-Setting Bodies (SSBs) and Financial Inclusion discussed the progress and challenges faced by the global SSBs in engaging on financial inclusion. Held under the theme "Promoting Financial Inclusion through Proportionate Standards and Guidance," the conference was convened by the GPFI.
