In January 2022, Indonesia G20 Presidency released its GPFI Presidency’s Priorities Paper 2022. The GPFI under Indonesia Presidency will focus on digital financial inclusion and SME Finance. This focus is coherent with the G20 2020 Financial Inclusion Action Plan (FIAP) and is aligned with the Indonesia Presidency theme, which is “Recover Together, Recover Stronger”.
Together with GPFI members, under the guidance of GPFI Co-Chairs and with the collaboration of GPFI Implementing and Affiliated partners, the Indonesia G20 Presidency will explore areas where digitalization could leverage the use of financial products and services that will support productivity and ensure inclusive growth. Therefore, Indonesia G20 Presidency aims to develop a financial inclusion framework on harnessing the benefit of digitalization, with the objective of boosting productivity, and fostering a sustainable and inclusive economy for women, youth, and MSMEs. It will be built upon the deliverables of GPFI in 2022 which consist of Implementation Framework of the 2016 High Level Principles on Digital Financial Inclusion, Digital and Innovative Financial Products and Services for MSMEs Beyond Credit, SME Digital Financial Services Regulatory Diagnostic Toolkit, as well as Progressing the Agenda on MSMEs Data Harmonization.
