On 10-11 January 2023 the GPFI met in Kolkata for the First GPFI Plenary under the G20 Indian Presidency. The focus of the meeting was to discuss and agree on priorities and work programme for the GPFI during 2023. The plenary agenda focussed upon the GPFI priorities for the current year, which are: (i) Leveraging Digital Public Infrastructure for Financial Inclusion and Productivity Gains; (ii) Completion of the ongoing G20 2020 Financial Inclusion Action Plan; (iii) Preparation and Adoption of the new G20 2023 Financial Inclusion Action Plan; and (iv) Update of GPFI Terms of Reference (ToR).
